misunderstood

Often in life we set out to do things with good intentions, but more often than not, we are misunderstood..

I remember

IA had its annual company retreat (albeit only the 2nd time) in Pangkor fro 8-10 September. Wow, its actually been 10 days since I returned from that trip and have not been able to post anything in my blog. Actually, I have been really, really busy on my current project. No futsal, badminton (which means no nasi lemak) or other stuff over the past 3 weeks. Only outing I had recently was going to watch Selngor trounce Terengganu 3-1 at in the semi's of the Malaysia Cup with Meng, Haniza and Dil.

Anyway, am still very busy, deadlines and rather unreasonable deliverables are keeping me.... (terbantut, sambung when possible)

Ok, its the day after I started writing this post. Actually wanted to post a picture that has remained stuck in my mind for close to 20 years now. This is a pic of the bridge over the swimming pool at Pangkor Island Resort (it used to be Pan Pacific Pangkor). You see, I first saw this picture when I was in Standard 5, which would make me 10 (lompat kelas lah). At that age, I so wanted to go there.. After I finished the then Penilaian Darjah 5 and got my grades, I so wanted my dad to take us there. For whatsoever reason that I can't seem to recall, we ended up going somewhere else.

That weekend we went to Pangkor (its now the following Monday..) I immediately saw the bridge over the swimming pool that was stored in my memory bank so so long ago... I remembered the times we used to go family holidays around Malaysia during school holidays. And now that we are working, earning a living, balancing work and play, etc.. I can only stop to appreciate the that my parents did take the time and make the effort to take us for holidays.
